More Than a Workshop

Learning about the mind is valuable. Practising new skills is what creates lasting change.

Every program combines evidence-based learning, guided practice, reflection, and ongoing support so participants build skills they continue using long after the workshop ends.

Most professional development ends when the workshop finishes. People leave inspired, but without enough practice to build lasting habits.

4-Steps programs are designed differently.

Learning introduces the framework. Regular practice develops the skills. Reflection deepens understanding. Continuing professional development helps participants apply those skills to real workplace challenges.

How the Programs Work

Four stages, delivered as one connected program.

Stage 1

Learn

An introductory interactive learning session.

It introduces the 4-Steps framework and the science behind it, with practices included so participants experience the content rather than only hear about it.

Stage 2

Practice

Regular guided practice sessions with short talks.

These develop the four core skills along with the supporting skills beneath them, such as attentional awareness, emotional awareness, and recognizing common belief patterns.

Stage 3

Reflect

A facilitated closing session.

Participants talk through what they learned and experienced, where they found it difficult, and what they want to keep doing.

Stage 4

Continue

Continuing education, added on.

These sessions look at how the 4-Steps apply to real workplace situations, so the skills carry into everyday professional life.

What You Will Practise

Participants develop skills through regular practice, not through concepts alone.

The four core skills

  • Mindfulness
  • Compassion
  • Insight
  • Reframing

The supporting practices

  • Attentional awareness
  • Emotional awareness
  • Recognizing common belief patterns
  • Applying the four steps in everyday situations

Continuing Professional Development

The learning does not stop after the initial program.

Organizations can keep developing these skills through ongoing workshops focused on specific workplace applications.

  • Communicating Effectively
  • Managing Stress
  • Building Resilience
  • Compassionate Leadership
  • Building Motivation
  • Enhancing Creativity
  • Strengthening Teamwork
  • Improving Well-Being

Each workshop is paired with continued practice sessions, so the skills strengthen over time rather than fading after the room empties.

Why Practice Matters

Understanding a skill is only the beginning.

Like any professional capability, emotional skills develop through regular practice. Every program encourages participants to practise individually, to support one another, and to take the time at work to build a learning community that continues beyond the classroom.
